ASIST (African School of Innovations, Science and Technology) provides international STEM and robotics education. We offer programs for students aged 4 to 21, focusing on robotics, AI, engineering and entrepreneurship through hands-on learning.
ASIST offers three main programs: the Holiday Program (daily classes at our centres during school holidays), the School Program (integrated into partner schools as STEM or Young Engineers clubs) and the Weekend Program (held every Saturday as a supplement to both).
Yes. ASIST's curriculum is endorsed by the African Union and the Harvard Graduate School of Education, ensuring it meets international education standards and aligns with both national and international STEM curricula.
Unlike traditional schools, ASIST integrates practical learning and real-world experience into the curriculum. We emphasise problem-solving, hands-on project development, coding, robotics and AI, so students apply what they learn — building creativity, innovation and critical thinking.
Enrolling is simple. You can register through our website, visit one of our centres, or contact our admissions team. Enrolment is open for the Holiday, School and Weekend programs, so students can join at their convenience.
ASIST programs are mainly in the Central and Western regions of Uganda, with several new centres being introduced in other regions to expand access to STEM education nationwide.
You can get involved by enrolling as a student, partnering with us as a school or sponsor, volunteering as a mentor, or supporting our STEM events. Contact us to learn more.
ASIST participates in the VEX Robotics Competition, the Uganda STEM & Robotics Championship, the EnjoyAI Robotics Competition, Technovation Girls, the Pan-African Robotics Competition (PARC), the International Greenwich Olympiad and SEAMATE (MATE ROV).
It depends on the competition. For the Uganda STEM & Robotics Championship, anyone with a tech idea can showcase their innovation. International competitions like VEX, EnjoyAI and PARC have specific eligibility criteria and require qualifying through local or regional rounds.
STEM Tours are educational trips that expose students to real-world science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Students visit innovation hubs, research centres, industries and technology companies, interact with experts and take part in practical activities.
Yes. ASIST organises STEM Tours both locally and internationally to give students exposure beyond the classroom, carefully planned to align with our mission of fostering innovation, critical thinking and practical learning.
